What happens if you don't extend FastDL
FastDL has a strict term: if the service isn't paid on time it's first frozen, then deleted together with its files.
How it happens
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| On the payment date, if unpaid | The service is frozen: the domain stops serving files, SFTP refuses logins. The files are intact. |
| 5 days after the freeze | The account and all files are deleted for good. They can't be restored. |
What players see during a freeze
The FastDL domain stops answering and the game falls back to the slow download over the game protocol. The server keeps running — joining custom maps just becomes slow again.
How to lift the freeze
Pay for the service within 5 days:
- Dashboard → Services, find the frozen FastDL.
- Make sure the balance covers it — top up if needed.
- Click extend.
The domain and SFTP switch back on automatically, the files stay in place — nothing needs re-uploading.
How to avoid a freeze
- Enable auto-renewal in the billing settings — the charge goes through by itself, and auto-renewal even unfreezes a frozen service. See Auto-renewal and reminders.
- Keep at least one period's worth on your balance: auto-renewal won't work if the money isn't there.
- Don't turn off notifications — the reminder arrives 3 days before the charge.
The five days count from the freeze date, not from your last sign-in. If you miss them, the service has to be ordered again and the files uploaded from scratch.
