Scheduled tasks
The Cron tab in the control panel runs actions automatically — for example, restarting the server every night.
Creating a task
Click add task and fill in the fields.
Action — one of:
- "Restart server";
- "Start server";
- "Stop server";
- "Console command" — a field for the command itself appears, e.g.
sm_map de_dust2.
Frequency — "Every day" or "Pick days" with the days of the week.
Time — the hour and minute to run at.
Managing tasks
Created tasks can be temporarily disabled, edited and deleted. A disabled task stays in the list but doesn't run.
A server can have at most 6 tasks. If the limit is reached, delete or disable one you don't need.
Examples
| Task | Settings |
|---|---|
| Nightly restart | Action "Restart server", every day, 05:00 |
| Map change on weekdays | "Console command" sm_map de_dust2, picked days Mon–Fri, 12:00 |
| Shut down for the night | "Stop server", every day, 03:00 |
A regular restart is the simplest way to shed accumulated memory leaks and hangs on a long-running server.
