Access for other users
The Access tab in the server's control panel lets you invite another user to manage this server: console, start and stop, settings.
How to grant access
- Open the server's control panel → the Access tab.
- Enter the user's email.
- Confirm.
The user appears in the list and can manage the server. In their own dashboard your project shows up as a card marked "Server access" — with only the servers you let them into; the project's other services stay invisible to them. They get the console, start/stop, cron and SFTP; renting, extending, renaming or deleting services, changing settings or the port, and granting access are not theirs.
Requirements
The invitee needs a sourhost account, and their email must be confirmed. Possible messages:
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| "No user with that email" | Ask them to sign up and try again. |
| "This user hasn't confirmed their account yet" | They need to enter the code from the sign-up email. |
| "This user has no account in the game panel yet" | The panel account is created when the email is confirmed; for older accounts, on the first sign-in. Have them sign in once and try again. |
How to revoke access
Click the bin icon next to the user in the list — the rights are revoked immediately.
How this differs from project access
| Server access (the "Access" tab) | Project access ("Grant access") | |
|---|---|---|
| What it gives | Managing one specific server | Access to every service in the project |
| Where it's set | In the server's control panel | On the project card |
If someone should manage all services and see them in their own dashboard — grant project access. If only one server — use this tab.
